….I don’t think that any recipe is easier and simpler than this recipe. KFC biscuit was too salty for my taste, so I used to eat it with lots of strawberry jam. Homemade buttermilk biscuit is soft, less sweet, and less salty. Also, it’s very easy to make. No rolling or cutting is required and everything is mixed in a single bowl. They bake up craggy and crunchy on the outside, but are tender once you break them open. I used cake flour for crispiness and added some dried cranberries for my husband. This recipe is from @mrs_macaron.

Servings: 4

Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. 200 g cake flour(1 1/3 cup)
  2. 1 Ts baking powder
  3. 1/2 ts salt
  4. 3 1/2 Ts muscovado
  5. 1 egg
  6. 60 ml milk(1/4 -1/3 cup)
  7. 5 1/2 Ts cold unsalted butter, chopped

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Mix the cake flour, baking powder, salt, and muscovado into a big bowl well.

2. Add the cold unsalted butter into the bowl and mix them well by your hand.

3. Add the milk and egg into the bowl and mix them well(add some dried cranberries into half of the dough).

4. Preheat the oven to 392F for 10 minutes. Place a spoonful at a time to the baking tray.

5. After 10 minutes, reset the temperature of the oven heat to 350F. Cook in a preheated oven for 25–28 minutes until golden brown.

6. Turn off the heat and take out the tray on a counter. Leave it for a while and Serve it.

I started organizing recipes that my family likes. I learned these recipes from some chefs and popular blogs. May my daughters remember mama's food.
