Brown Butter Scallops


  1. 18 scallops, cleaned and pat dry
  2. 3 garlic cloves, cracked
  3. 2 tbsp lemon juice
  4. 2 tbsp olive oil
  5. sea salt to taste
  6. black pepper to taste
  7. fresh thyme to taste
  8. brown mushrooms for garnish
  9. asparagus for garnish
  10. 2 tbsp brown butter
  1. 8 tbsp unsalted butter(take it out of the refrigerator about 20–30 minutes before starting) if the butter is frozen or too cold, it will splatter and easily burn.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. How to make brown butter: heat a pan with medium heat and add 8 tbsp unsalted butter(cut into pieces so it cooks evenly) into the pan to cook.
