Pan-fried Perilla Leaves with Fillings(Kkaennip-jeon)


  1. 15–17 perilla leaves, cleaned and pat dry
  2. 1/2 lb beef, grounded
  3. 1 tbsp green onion, minced
  4. 1/2 tbsp ginger juice
  5. 1/4 tsp sea salt +a pinch of sea salt
  6. 1 tsp soy sauce
  7. 1 tbsp egg wash
  8. 3/4 tsp potato starch
  9. 1 tsp sesame oil
  10. 3 eggs
  11. 1 tsp Mirin
  12. 1 tbsp flour
  13. avocado oil to pan-fry

Cooking Instructions

  1. Put the beef, green onion, ginger juice, sea salt, soy sauce, egg wash, potato starch, and sesame oil into a bowl. Mix it by hand until it’s well incorporated and turns into a sticky lump.
