….This is a recipe I’ve done countless times for my family, when my daughters were young. This recipe is made with only a few ingredients and is simple and easy to make. It’s still incredibly delicious. The combination of the flavors of the ingredients is perfectly tasty and succulent. I hope you try this recipe and enjoy it. It’s really a lot of fun to make and to eat. Garaetteok(Korean rice cake)is one of ingredients in it. It looks like a special ingredient, but the combination with seafood is excellent. And the chewy texture enhances the flavor even more. If you eat it right after frying, it will come out with juice, so you have to be careful. I guarantee everyone will love them. If you want a different taste of dumplings, be sure to make this precious my recipe. It’s my daughter LACEY’s favorite dumpling, so my daughter would be happy today…..Sharing food is the best expression of love.

Servings: 4

Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  1. 1 package of dumpling wrappers, thawed out in the fridge
  2. 1/2 cup scallop, chopped
  3. 3/4 cup shrimp, chopped
  4. 1/2 cup seafood stick, chopped
  5. 1 cup garaetteok(Korean rice cake), chopped
  6. 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  7. 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  8. 1 tsp garlic, minced
  9. black pepper to taste
  10. canola oil to fry
  11. 1 egg white

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Combine the shrimp, scallop, seafood stick, and Korean rice cake into a bowl and add the mayonnaise, fresh lemon juice, garlic, and a pinch of black pepper into the bowl. Mix them well.

2. Put a wrapper on your palm and put some egg white on the edge of the wrapper. Add 1 tbsp of filling to the center of the wrapper and fold it diagonally to seal.

3. Repeat until you’ve made dumplings from all your fillings.

4. Heat the canola oil to 350 degrees(tip: when you put wooden chopsticks into the oil, there should be bubbles around the chopsticks).

5. Fry 10–12 pieces at a time, while keeping the oil temperature around 325 degrees and flipping the dumplings until golden brown(about 2–3 minutes).

6. Remove from the oil using long chopsticks and cool on top of the baking tray. Don’t fry the dumplings a second time(only one time).

7. Serve it and enjoy!
