Steamed Vegetables with Sesame Seeds and Soybean paste Dressing
….Steaming was a cooking method chosen for health. Since the ingredients don’t come into direct contact with water, their nutrients are retained. It is said that this method helps boost the immune system significantly because vitamins and nutrients are preserved. While people who use steaming tend to lead healthier lives, it wasn’t easy to consistently choose steamed dishes, and the flavor didn’t always suit our accustomed palates. So, I would only opt for steaming occasionally. However, the steamed vegetables with sesame seeds and soybean paste sauce that my friend recently recommended were incredible. It was clean, filling, and easy on the stomach. Steaming with meat or fish is great, of course, but even with just leftover vegetables from the fridge, it turned out fantastic. Preparing and steaming only took about 30 minutes. If you keep the sauce refrigerated, it saves time and makes for a healthy meal. Adding chopped scallions, lemon, and wasabi to suit your taste made it even better. My husband also really enjoyed the warm steamed vegetables, saying they were delicious, especially when dipped generously in sesame seeds and soybean paste sauce.
