….I’m not sure where I first saw this bulgogi soboro recipe, but I’m glad I did. Sometimes we want to eat a sandwich stuffed with grilled, hot, melty perfection. You may ask yourself, does this sandwich really need mayonnaise? The answer is yes. A swipe of mayo, not butter, on the bread encourages that gorgeous exterior with bulgogi soboro. Also I made a special spread with mayo, cream cheese, mustard, fresh lemon juice, and honey. It’s important to remove the smell of beef meat, so I recommend you to add some mixed vegetables juice before marinating the ground beef. Then marinate the ground beef with Mat-Gan-Jang lightly. I made this hot sandwich for my husband who doesn’t like cold sandwiches. He always said “It really hits the spot”. Start our morning with a hot sandwich!

Servings: 4–5

Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. ciabatta bread, cut into 4 inches and sliced horizontally, toasted lightly
  2. 1 lb ground beef ribeye
  3. 1 onion, sliced
  4. 1 red paprika, removed seeds and sliced
  5. 1 yellow paprika, removed seeds and sliced
  6. 2 Ts avocado oil
  7. truffle zest to taste
  8. gruyere cheese to taste
  9. 7–8 green lettuce leaves
  10. 2 Ts mixed vegetables juice
  11. 1 Ts garlic, minced
  12. 3 Ts Mat-Gan-Jang
  13. black pepper to taste
  14. 2 ts sesame oil

For spread sauce:

  1. 3 Ts mayonnaise
  2. 1 Ts KOZLIK’S triple crunch mustard
  3. 1 Ts honey
  4. 1 Ts fresh lemon juice
  5. 1 Ts cream cheese

….all mixed

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Put the ground beef into a tray and add the mixed vegetables juice, garlic, Mat-Gan-Jang, black pepper, and sesame oil into the tray to mix them well. Set aside for 20 minutes.

2. Put the fresh lemon juice, mayonnaise, mustard, honey, and cream cheese into a bowl to mix them well. Keep it in a refrigerator.

3. Heat a pan with medium high heat and add 1 Ts avocado oil, onion, red paprika, and yellow paprika into the pan to stir them quickly for 1 minute. Set aside.

4. Heat the same pan with medium high heat and add 1 Ts avocado oil and the marinated beef into the pan to stir them until the moisture is gone.

5. Add the stirred vegetables into the pan and sprinkle some truffle zest onto the bulgogi mixture. Mix them gently and put some gruyere cheese on top of the mixture with a lid until melted.

6. Put the ciabatta bread onto a cutting board and spread the sauce onto the bread a lot.

7. Put the lettuce on one of the bread and mixed bulgogi soboro on top of the lettuce(I added more gruyere cheese on top of the bulgogi soboro).

8. Put another bread on top of the bulgogi soboro.

9. Serve it.

I started organizing recipes that my family likes. I learned these recipes from some chefs and popular blogs. May my daughters remember mama's food.
